Weird as it is to me too (and many others as they come to know) I've discovered this new excitement to write. Weird because i was always the one who used to hate writing, I could talk Mathematics before an exam!! Writing was always considered a pain. Any writing work was quickly delegated to friends. and imaginative writing.....(was not even thought of in the worst nightmares)
But recently when i was caught in a situation where i was the only one around with some decent "writing skills" i was forced to pick up the pen and work my brain. The first few hours were not difficult at all, since i'd already assumed and decided that i would never be able to complete even a sentence on my own.! But then as time passed and i realized i had no other option but to write, I WROTE.!!!
I think the biggest hurdle in anything you do is always the 'First Step'. Once the first step is taken then the whole world, stars, planets, moons, ghosts, gods conspire to take you further. (Depending on who is conspiring? Ghost or God, you either 'succeed' or you take a 'fall' :-) ) So i wrote and wrote and wrote till i got it right, and realized that it wasn't too bad.!!
I got more opportunities later. but the things i wrote were not strictly imaginative,or creative (I've wriiten Invites, Memos, PR articles, and Damage control articles :-)). boring as it may sound, but i enjoyed the fact that every sentence had to be tactfully written and presented well. It took a lot of effort to get it right and fit it in short at the same time.
But now i feel like going a step further. I want to write about experiences, ideas and more....
